Which Coach Are You?

1. Colorado’s Glenwood Springs Golf Course

The Glenwood Springs Golf Course includes plenty of scenic views and challenging holes. At Glenwood, you’ll be playing a nine-hole course that’s surrounded by some of Colorado’s gorgeous mountains and plenty of green spaces. Henry Hughes designed the course, and it measures 2,865 yards. The Glenwood Springs course features a slope rating of 115, and it has a USGA rating of 33.6. To accommodate golfers of all skill sets, the course comes with two tees designed for different skill levels.

Locals have nicknamed the course “The Hill” because many of the fairways shift up and down from one side to the other. Also, the slopes are steep, so you’ll get plenty of exercise while golfing the course. Glenwood will also challenge you due to the mature trees that line many of the fairways and its uneven greens. The course’s grass is well maintained and nicely irrigated.

The course opened in 1953, and its season is from the first of March to the middle of November. It is a public course with affordable fees. You won’t have to worry about a dress code, and there are several RV parks, such as the Glenwood Canyon Resort, in the area. At the Glenwood Canyon RV park, you’ll have access to spacious campsites as well as ones that back up to the riverfront.

At the park, you’ll enjoy hook-ups with electric, sewer and water. The RV park includes picnic tables and gorgeous views of Glenwood Canyon. There are other activities in the area when you’re ready to take a break from golfing. The Glenwood Springs community is tight-knit and welcoming.

2. Montana’s Polson Bay Resort

Experience breathtaking sights while enjoying your favorite past time at the Polson Bay Golf Course. Located in Flathead Valley, this 27-hole course features amazing mountain and lake views. The course is the only one next to the gorgeous Flathead Lake shores, which is the biggest freshwater lake in the Southwest United States.

The course’s playing conditions are pristine. It’s also an affordable place to play a round. There’s a PGA golf shop on site and practice greens if you need to brush up on your skills. Golf lessons are available, and you can rent a cart if you need help making your way around the course. The mountain views are sweeping, and the course is peaceful and quiet.

When you come to Montana to play at the Polson Bay Course, consider parking your RV at the Eagle Nest RV Resort. The park is in Polson, and it’s on the south end section of Flathead Lake. The RV park features 54 sites that are expansive and grassy. They include concrete patios and pull-throughs. If you stay at the Eagle Nest Park, you’ll have access to Wi-Fi and 50-amp service.

The RV park is close to the Country Club clubhouse. In fact, you can walk to it. You can also walk to a number of restaurants, several grocery stores and a bowling alley. It’s just 1 mile from Boettcher Park, which is the town’s best beach area. While staying at the RV park, you’ll have the chance to experience wildlife and the great outdoors. You can rent water sporting equipment like boats and wave runners or take a horseback ride. The Eagle Nest RV Resort is about ¼ mile from the junction of MT 35 and US 93.

3. Utah’s The Ledges Golf Course

Located in St. George, Utah, Ledges Golf Course is an RV-friendly golf course that will allow you to enjoy great scenery. Since now is a time when it’s best to vacation at a place where you can stay 6 feet apart from your fellow travelers, this is the perfect option.
