Newmar Set To Unveil Company's Most Original Floorplan

Released November 21, 2007

NAPPANEE, Ind. - Newmar Corporation, the Indiana-based manufacturer of high quality Class A motorhomes and fifth wheels, has once again designed a floorplan that will capture attention next week at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky when it is introduced for the first time.

Newmar has once more utilized Spartan's® Mountain Master ME chassis and built a reverse floorplan with the nomenclature 4481. This 4481 reverse floorplan is just that - its layout is completely opposite of the traditional motorhome. The floorplan features two entrance doors, one in the traditional spot behind the front wheel well and the second entrance is on the doorside of the coach toward the back. When entering through the back entrance door customers will walk in to a rounded kitchen area that is positioned at the rear of the coach.

"The All Star 4481 model is the first mid-engine floorplan that caters to the more traditional RVer," said John Sammut, Newmar Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "It is Newmar's intent to offer this new layout (and others to come) in order to transition the All Star motorhome from a niche product to a more mainstream brand. Newmar will, however, continue to use the Spartan ME2 chassis for floorplan innovation in the future."

The 4481 is powered by a 400 horsepower Cummins® ISL engine and comes standard with Newmar's exclusive Comfort Drive™ steering system and a one-piece windshield. Kitchen amenities include a Norcold® 10 cu. ft. four-door refrigerator, solid-surface countertops, and a 30-inch convection microwave oven. Customers have a choice in dinette seating. A booth dinette is standard or a round dinette table can be optioned. The living area can be configured with opposing sofas, a sofa and recliner, or a sofa and large entertainment center with a dry bar.

Moving toward the front of the coach is a wardrobe closet (or optional washer/dryer), bathroom, and bedroom that features a queen-size bed and plenty of storage space. The bedroom is closed off from the front of the coach by pocket doors so that the bedroom continues to offer privacy as it is in a customary floorplan layout. The cockpit area features two captain's chairs with a table in between behind the front driver's and passenger's seats.

"This newest All Star floorplan is just another example of what can be accomplished at Newmar with the Spartan ME2 chassis and some imagination," said Sammut. "RVing is way of life for our customers and we will continue to search for ways to offer them quality products that are innovative, fun, and functional."

The All Star customer has six interior decor options and six exterior full-paint Masterpiece Finish™ graphics to choose from. Interior upgrade packages offer ceramic tile floors, polished solid-surface countertops and furniture tops, and hardwood cabinets with raised-panel doors.

The 4481 floorplan is 44' 9" with a GVWR of 34,000 lbs. and an approximate NCC of 5,400 lbs. Base MSRP is $257,544. For more information regarding the All Star or any other Newmar products call 1-800-860-0086 or visit www.newmarcorp.com.
