NEWMAR TO INTRODUCE 2012 BAY STAR SPORT AT RVIA TRADE SHOW
Newmar will introduce its best value in a class A gas motor home since its introduction of the Bay Star in 2006. The Bay Star Sport will debut at the 49th Annual National RV Trade Show in Louisville, KY that runs from November 29th to December 1st.
The Bay Star Sport will be offered in four models ranging from 27’ to 33’ in length. The Sport uses the Ford® F-53 chassis with the Ford® Triton V-10 engine as its platform and power plant. Newmar plans to build the Bay Star Sport using the same construction, air conditioning system and slide out mechanism the company is known for and uses on all of its other products, yet offer this entry level gas product at an affordable price.
“The success Newmar has had with the 2012 Ventana LE since its introduction at last year’s show in Louisville, prompted our company to take similar approach in developing a lower cost version of our Bay Star gas motor home,” said John Sammut Newmar’s V.P. of Sales. “We feel that the price at which we are offering this well valued product will render our company added business without taking sales away from Newmar’s best-selling brand – Bay Star” he added.
Bay Star Sport starts at a base MSRP of $93,450 for its 2702 model with 2 slide outs. Standard features include gelcoated fiberglass side walls with vinyl graphics, Dometic® 6 cu. ft. refrigerator, 32” LCD TV in the front living area, Dometic® patio awning and one piece tinted windshield. Optional equipment available includes partial exterior paint treatment, hydraulic leveling system, slide out awnings and 600 watt inverter. The Sport will be available in two stylish interior packages along with two wood finishes.
